Penn State Law renews $20,000 Commonwealth Scholars grant program for Pennsylvania applicants

Penn State Law is again offering its Commonwealth Scholars Program, which provides a $20,000 per year tuition grant to 2015 J.D. applicants from Pennsylvania.

Penn State Law is again offering its Commonwealth Scholars grant program to 2015 J.D. applicants from Pennsylvania.

The Commonwealth Scholars Program provides a special tuition grant worth $20,000 per year to Pennsylvania residents who will enroll at Penn State Law in fall 2015. Applied over three years, the grant provides $60,000 toward Penn State Law J.D. tuition for Pennsylvanians.

"In the spirit of Penn State's land-grant mission, the Commonwealth Scholars Program helps make a Penn State Law J.D. degree more affordable to Pennsylvania residents," said Interim Dean James W. Houck. "The grant program was well received last year and made Penn State Law more accessible to qualified in-state applicants who otherwise may not have considered applying."

The Commonwealth Scholars program is automatically offered to all prospective J.D. students from Pennsylvania who apply and are admitted to Penn State Law for enrollment beginning in fall 2015. Proof of Pennsylvania residency is required.
