Professor Ross to participate in Harvard’s Sports Law Symposium

Penn State Law Professor Stephen Ross has been invited to participate in Harvard Law School’s 2011 Sports Law Symposium on March 25, 2011. The theme for the symposium is amateurism. Each of the panels will shed light on the key issues facing amateur athletes, such as how organizations define amateurism, the role of NCAA in conference alignment, and the relationship between college athletes and player agents. Professor Ross will join fellow panelists in exploring the antitrust and tax issues associated with the Bowl Championship Series, which has been attacked by legal scholars, state attorney generals, and other interested parties as violating federal antitrust law.
