Join Our Professional Network

The Career Services Office is working to create a network of alumni to whom students and recent graduates may reach out for career advice. As a Professional Network member you may participate in our Mentor Program for First-Year Students, serve as a volunteer career resource, and/or post a career description online to assist students in learning about areas of the law or ways to use a J.D.

The Mentor Program has proved to be a valuable and rewarding experience for both first-year law students and their mentors. It is an opportunity for first-year students to develop a relationship with an experienced attorney who can provide advice about challenges that arise in law school and in entering the legal profession. Registration for the Mentor Program occurs each summer. Alumni who wish to be mentors should register by July 31, in order to participate in the program for the next entering class.

Alumni are also able to act as a source of information to students in any class year by being a career resource. The few minutes that you might spend talking with students about your specialty, the market in your geographic region, alternatives to the practice of law, or a myriad of other topics are priceless to a student or graduate trying to launch a career. Please consider joining our network.

Register below. Subsequently, you will receive an e-mail with a password to LAW LION CAREERS, the vehicle we use for our online applications, to use to finalize your preferences and include a personal career profile.
