The Constitutional Right to Counsel

The Constitutional Right to Counsel

Come join the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy for a panel discussion on access to justice, including the crisis in legal aid funding which prevents many low-income people from accessing critical legal services. Panelists will also be discussing the idea of a "civil Gideon" right. This panel is the day before Constitution Day, so it is a great time to learn about a critical feature of our legal system. There will be a short, closed, business meeting following the CLE program, followed by a reception beginning at 6:30 p.m. The reception is open to Penn State Law students, faculty, and staff.
This event is co-sponsored by the Centre County Bar Association.

Date/Time:
Thursday, September 15, 2016 - 4:30pm to 5:30pm
Location:
Sutliff Auditorium (118)
