The Women's Law Caucus presents 'Mental Health in the Justice System' on March 21, from 12:45 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the Sutliff Auditorium. The event will feature guest speaker Judge Joseph Migliozzi of Norfolk, VA Circuit Court. Judge Migliozzi served as the lead defense counsel in Atkins v. VA, the landmark case that held that executions of mentally impaired criminals are "cruel and unusual" punishments and violate the 8th Amendment. Judge Migliozzi will speak about his experience in the Atkins case and how the case has impacted his career as a Circuit Court judge. Please register for this event online.
