The Rock Ethics Institute Presents: Author Meets Critics

The Rock Ethics Institute will be hosting an author meets critics event with Jonathan H. Marks on Thursday, October 17th from 3:30 p.m. - 5 p.m. at 110 Henderson, book signing and reception to follow. Jonathan H. Marks, Director of the Bioethics Program at Penn State and affiliate faculty with Penn State Law and School of International Affairs, is the author of The Perils of Partnership: Industry Influence, Institutional Integrity, and Public Health. This novel takes a close look at public-private partnerships and multi-stakeholder initiatives in public health. Marks will meet with Lisa M. Lee, Associate VP for Scholarly Integrity and Research Compliance at Virginia Tech and former Executive Director of President Obama's Bioethics Commission, and Leland Glenna, Professor of Rural Sociology and Science, Technology, and Society at Penn State, to discuss the book. Ted Toadvine, Associate Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Rock Ethics Institute, will serve as the moderator.
