If you unexpectedly need to cancel a class, as soon as possible, notify faculty support staff and all students in the class. On the day of the cancelled class, faculty support staff will post notice of the cancellation in the classroom(s).
To reschedule a cancelled class, you should consult with students to find a time that will minimize conflicts with students’ other classes. Check the Building Room Schedule to find an available room with appropriate AV capabilities, request the room via the online Faculty and Staff Classroom/Event Scheduling Form. When you receive an e-mail confirming the room reservation, notify students of the time and location of the makeup class.
Except in extraordinary circumstances, faculty may not deliver make up classes by recording.
Request any permanent changes to your course time or location through the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs.
