Rebecca Bain is an Assistant Public Defender for the Centre County Public Defender Office. She joined that office in February 2022. As an Assistant Public Defender, Attorney Bain represents indigent clients in all stages of the criminal process, from preliminary hearings to final disposition. Attorney Bain also serves as the defense counsel representative for the Centre County Behavioral Health Court. She has previously served as the defense counsel representative for the Centre County DUI Court. Prior to joining the Centre County Public Defender Office, Attorney Bain was a Law Clerk for the Honorable President Judge David W. Barron of the Court of Common Pleas of Mifflin County. Additionally, Attorney Bain is a professor of legal writing and analysis at Penn State Law. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her cat and dog as well as watching football.
Attorney Bain received her JD degree from Penn State Law in 2021. During her time at Penn State Law, Attorney Bain was co-managing editor of the Penn State Law Arbitration Law Review. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Political Science from Boston University in 2018.
