As First Assistant Public Defender of Centre County, Lora Rupert is second in command and supervises and trains all assistant public defenders while carrying a caseload and representing clients at all stages of the criminal process. She joined the Centre County Public Defenders office in January 2018. Prior to coming to Centre County, Attorney Rupert was an Assistant Public Defender in Lebanon County. Attorney Rupert has spent all of her legal career advocating for the rights of indigent clients and is a Co-professor in the Indigent Criminal Justice Trial clinic, as well as a professor of legal writing and analysis. In her free time, Attorney Rupert enjoys traveling and spending time with her children.
