INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LAW ASSOCIATION (IPLA)

Mission Statement:
The Intellectual Property Law Association (IPLA) is a student-run organization dedicated to providing resources and information to those students interested in IP-related topics and career options. IPLA seeks to provide insight into both the technical and scientific side of IP law, surrounding patent applications and compliance with the USPTO, as well as other applicable fields of study, including copyrights, trademarks, and general IP litigation. This Association serves as a resource to PSL students and the community at large to learn more about a relatively new, exciting, and growing law practice by hearing directly from the attorneys, academics, and corporations engaged in this line of work. Also, IPLA fosters open conversations on new developments in a niche area of the law by offering discussions surrounding present-day intellectual property law related issues. The Association provides a wide-range of activities, including panel forums that allow students to develop a deep understanding of IP law and the career opportunities within it, as well as social events for like-minded individuals to network and create lasting relationships that will carry into their legal careers.
