Penn State Law students were among thousands of volunteers who raised a record-breaking $13,343,517.33 for pediatric cancer research. The year-long fundraising event culminated in a 46-hour dance marathon. This year, law school raised $12,729.39.
The United Nations estimates that by 2050 the planet’s human population will be 9.6 billion—stretching the resource of an already resource-stretched world. “The 9 Billion People Question: The Challenge of Global Resource Scarcity,” at Penn State on February 7 will examine the impact of global resource scarcity on the world’s legal, agricultural, and security environments.
Professor Emeritus Louis F. Del Duca, a man who has impacted the lives of many Penn State Dickinson School of Law alumni throughout his 57 years of teaching, will be recognized by the Penn State Alumni Association with its prestigious Honorary Alumni Award and inducted as an honorary alumnus during Traditional Reunion Weekend at University Park in June 2014.

The Honorable Christopher C. Conner ’82 has stepped into the role of chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Judge Yvette Kane finished her term as chief judge on August 31.
