Clinic students mentor artists at music conference

Members of the Arts, Sports, and Entertainment Law Clinic provided mentoring services to artists attending the Millennium Music Conference February 19-21 in Harrisburg. Clinic students have been participating for several years in the conference. "We provide educational information to musicians and others who may be looking for help with contract negotiation, licensing, intellectual property, or other issues they may encounter," according to Professor Geoffrey Scott, the clinic's director. The Millennium Music Conference is an annual event that features three days of panels, clinics, workshops, mentoring, demo listening sessions, and a music business trade show, held in and around the city of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The event celebrates new music and emerging talent with three nights of showcases by original acts and artists. Since its winter debut in 1997, the conference has grown into one of the premier music conferences and showcases on the East Coast.
