Iranian nuclear talks previewed in Penn State Journal

“The essays in the Penn State Journal of Law and International Affairs (JLIA) provide insights needed to transform the U.S.-Iranian relationship from one of distrust and hyperbole to one of mutual respect and engaged exchange,” according to Executive Editor of JLIA and Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Amy Gaudion. Iranian nuclear talks are set to reconvene on Tuesday.

As Iranian nuclear talks reconvene on Tuesday, Amy Gaudion, the executive editor of the Penn State Journal of Law and International Affairs (JLIA) and assistant dean for academic affairs, points out that the most recent issue of JLIA focuses on many of the topics that will be covered. “The essays in the fall issue of the Penn State Journal of Law and International Affairs provide insights needed to transform the U.S.-Iranian relationship from one of distrust and hyperbole to one of mutual respect and engaged exchange,” she said.

Caroline Revisited: An Imagined Exchange between John Kerry and Mohammad Javad Zarif by James Houck proposes a legal framework to guide preemptive uses of force in the nuclear age. Other authors include:  Daniel Joyner of the University of Alabama School of Law, Hillary Mann Leverett of American University’s School of International Service, Flynt Leverett of Penn State's School of International Affairs, and Mary Ellen O’Connell of the University of Notre Dame Law School.​
