Law School commemorates 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington

Tomorrow the Law School will commemorate the 50^th Anniversary of the March on Washington with a live streaming broadcast of events on the Mall in Washington, D.C. The event kicks off with a showing of the “I Have a Dream" speech by Martin Luther King, Jr. "We want to make that available to students who may not have seen the actual speech which is only 17 minutes long," said Dwayne Wright '15, president of the Black Law Students Association, organizer of the event.

Broadcast of the scheduled speeches and other activities such as the ringing of Freedom Bells will continue through 4 p.m. The event will conclude with a second showing of “I Have a Dream.” The event will take place in the Greg Sutliff Auditorium in University Park and the Legislative Hearing Room in Carlisle. Pizza and soda will be available in the Commons at 12:30.
