College coach sports agent from IMG to share insights

On Friday, November 6, Matt Baldwin, senior associate with IMG, the world's leading sports, entertainment and media company, will discuss his experiences representing college coaches at a Big Four sports firm. The event will begin at 1:30 p.m. in room 116, Lewis Katz Building, University Park, and be simulcast to room 148, Advantica Building, Carlisle.

During his presentation, Baldwin will discuss issues such as contract negotiation, economics of the market for college coaches, endorsement deals, ethical issues, recruiting, and relationship to the media.

IMG manages the careers and brands of some of the world's most famous sports figures. Baldwin's current responsibilities at IMG include: client management, contract negotiation, media relations, database administration and strategic marketing. During his tenure at IMG, he has been involved in the negotiation or renegotiation of more than 200 employment contracts.

Baldwin is a registered member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Minnesota State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and is an active member of the Sports Lawyers Association. He has served as an expert witness for the Office of the Attorney General of the State of New York and has accepted a position on the Board of Advisors of the University of Baltimore, School of Law’s Sports Law Institute.
