Marco Ventoruzzo, Arthur L. and Sandra S. Piccone Faculty Scholar and Professor of Law, has been appointed to the board of editors of a new peer-reviewed journal, the Journal of Financial Regulation. Published by Oxford University Press, the journal will focus on financial markets regulation from an international and comparative point of view. Also in the light of the publisher and of the credentials of the other members of the board, this is an important and promising project.

Board members include, Professors Thierry Boneau (Université Panthéon-Assas, Paris II); Daniel Awrey (Oxford University); Georg Ringe (University of Copenhagen); Christopher Brummer (Georgetown Law School); Douglas Arner (University of Hong Kong); Henry Gao (Singapore Management University);and Zhongfei Zhou (Shanghai University of Finance and Economics).

"This is one of the few truly academic journals in this space and it's very exciting that Penn State Law will be a part of it," said Ventoruzzo. "The fact that editors come from many different jurisdictions and continents offers a unique opportunity to look at securities regulation in a global perspective, and Oxford University as publisher will ensure high quality standards, broad distribution, and high visibility."

Professor Ventoruzzo launched the Max Planck Institute for International, European and Regulatory Procedural Law in Luxembourg where he served as director until this past summer.
