What made you apply to Penn State Law?
As I was applying for schools, I received an email letting me know about potential scholarships that I could be eligible for that were offered by Penn State Law. I had wanted to attend Penn State for undergraduate studies and saw this as my opportunity to study at Penn State.

If you were talking to a pre-law student, how would you describe your first semester at Penn State Law?
I would say that my first semester has been difficult but very rewarding. It was difficult to make the adjustment but once I had begun focusing my studies and learning how to study, it was a lot easier to get through the work.

How different has law school been in reality vs. what your expectations were?
Law school was different in a few ways from my expectations. I did not know how much self-discipline I would need to have. I also did not realize how nice my classmates would be. The work was more difficult, but the community was much more welcoming than I had expected.

Are you involved in any student clubs, orgs., etc. that enhanced your Penn State Law experience? If so, in what ways have they enhanced your experience?
I am a part of several organizations. I am a 1L representative for APALSA (Asian Pacific American Law Student Association) and ACS. I was the 1L Conference delegate for the Criminal Justice Reform Conference. I am a liaison for SBA's Law and Equity Committee. I am also a member of If/When/How, Outlaw, Women's Law Caucus, Phi Alpha Delta, and the Criminal Law Society. Getting to be involved in so many organizations has allowed me to meet a lot of people that I would not otherwise be able to meet. I love getting involved in my community and has allowed me the opportunity to pursue areas of interest with others who also have similar interests.

Did you get an internship?  If so, how do you think PSL prepared you for it?
I have not got an internship yet, but I am still interviewing around. I hope to hear back from some of the places I applied to soon.

What has been your favorite Penn State Law experience so far?
I really enjoyed the Halloween party and the tailgates!

Where’s your favorite place to go outside of Penn State Law on the University Park Campus?
I like going to the HUB to get food occasionally.

What do you like to do when you’re not studying?
I enjoy hanging out with friends and watching shows!
