Because of the different geographic locations of the Carlisle law campus and the University Park law campus, inclement weather may affect just one location or both.
The University Park law campus (including SIA) follows the closure/delay decisions made by Penn State for University Park. So, if Penn State's University Park campus is closed or delayed, the UP law campus will also be closed or delayed accordingly. Decisions regarding the Carlisle law campus are made independently, depending on the weather situation in the Carlisle area. As a result, Carlisle may be closed or delayed when University Park is not, and vice versa.
If one law campus closes, but the other does not, classes at the closed campus will be canceled. AV classes originating from the open campus, however, will proceed as scheduled and students at the closed campus will be permitted to view the class recording via ANGEL.
In the event of a delayed opening at either campus, classes at the delayed campus that are scheduled to begin prior to 9:45 a.m. will be canceled. AV classes originating from the non-delayed campus prior to 9:45 a.m. will proceed as scheduled and students at the delayed campus will be permitted to view the class recording via ANGEL. Classes beginning at 9:45 a.m. or later will continue as scheduled, unless otherwise announced via email.
Students, faculty and staff who have signed up for PSUALERT will receive notifications via that service. If you haven’t already, you should sign up online for PSUALERT.
