The Penn State Law Veterans and Servicemembers Legal Clinic is honored to begin offering free legal consultations to veterans and servicemembers at the Starbucks store located at 2030 North Atherton as part of the company’s Military Mondays Program. Starbucks has been proudly sponsoring the Military Mondays Program in stores across the nation since 2015. The purpose of Military Mondays is to create a comfortable, accessible setting for the military and veteran community to receive legal advice and counsel. The Veterans Clinic has expertise in appealing disability compensation, pension and education benefits claims before the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Veterans and servicemembers may make appointments to discuss VA appeals or any civil law legal issue. Penn State Law students will counsel the attendees under the supervision of clinic volunteer, Leah Davis, clinic director Michele Vollmer, and part-time staff attorney, Todd Ciancarelli. After providing counseling in one hour appointments, the Veterans Clinic will transfer appropriate VA appeals to its caseload, and assist those with civil law legal issues or VA appeals it cannot accept to find other legal representation.
If you are interested in signing up for a meeting with our clinic, please fill out the required form below and choose an appointment time. Veterans and servicemembers who schedule an appointment may be contacted by a representative of the Veterans Clinic before the appointment to discuss important information to bring to the consultation.
