UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – During the past academic year, students in the Penn State Family Law Clinic at Penn State Law in University Park worked on several educational programs to inform existing and potential clients and other local stakeholders about different aspects of family law.
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Law in University Park hosted the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC) for a two-day visit, March 23 and 24, culminating in an oral argument hearing in a pending case. The visit also included multiple events that, together with oral argument, provided Penn State Law students with an immersive learning experience and a behind-the-scenes look into careers in the field of veterans law and how law is made by the judiciary.

Penn State Law faculty encourage experiential learning – both in courses, and in nine clinics and one practicum – to augment students’ coursework and help them develop the confidence to serve as leaders in a range of legal fields, from criminal defense of indigent populations to international law and legislative advocacy:
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Military Law Caucus (MLC), a student organization at Penn State Law in University Park, raised over $4,500 at this year’s Push Ups Supporting Heroes (PUSH) event. Eighty percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Veterans Multi-Service Center (VMC), a nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive support services to military veterans in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and southern New Jersey.
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State Law Veterans and Servicemembers Legal Clinic will restart its Military Mondays program on April 12, 2021. On the second Monday of every month, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the Veterans Clinic will offer free legal consultations to veterans and servicemembers at the Starbucks store located at 232 West College Avenue in State College.
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Over the past three years, 16 graduates of Penn State Law in University Park have entered the Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAG Corps) of the U.S. Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force. UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State Law Veterans and Servicemembers Legal Clinic increased its assistance to those who have served our country in 2020. It doubled its workload and handled over 19 complex matters for veterans.
UNIVERSITY PARK, PA.—The Penn State Law Veterans and Servicemembers Legal Clinic recently won two appeals for a Vietnam veteran, including an increase from 10 to 50 percent for a post-traumatic stress (PTS) disability rating and a 100 percent rating for three months for a myocardial infarction.
