UNIVERSITY PARK, PA.—The Penn State Law Veterans and Servicemembers Legal Clinic recently won two appeals for a Vietnam veteran, including an increase from 10 to 50 percent for a post-traumatic stress (PTS) disability rating and a 100 percent rating for three months for a myocardial infarction.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State Law Veterans and Servicemembers Legal Clinic built upon its reputation and previous experience to engage in more outreach activities and to offer direct counsel to more clients than in previous academic years. The work of the 2018-19 academic year saw the clinic assist 20 veterans from 13 different counties in Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Nebraska, offering students valuable experience through outreach, advocacy, and client interaction.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State Law Veterans and Servicemembers Legal Clinic has won several disability and back pay awards for veterans since its inception nearly four years ago, all while providing students hands-on experience with administrative law, pretrial litigation and appellate advocacy skills.
Penn State President Eric Barron invited the members of the Penn State Law Veterans and Servicemembers Legal Clinic to his tailgate for the Military Appreciation Game against Rutgers on Nov. 11. In his remarks, Barron noted the important work being performed by the clinic in support of veterans and current members of the armed forces. Following the tailgate, the clinic watched the football game from President's box in Beaver Stadium. 
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The National Law School Veterans Clinic Consortium, of which Penn State Law is a member, has signed a memorandum of agreement with the Department of Veterans Affairs, the American Bar Association, and The Veterans Consortium that will help improve veterans’ access to free legal services.
