ABA/Law Student Division — PBA/Young Lawyers Division

The Law Student Division (LSD), founded in 1949, is an arm of the American Bar Association (ABA). The LSD introduces students to professional problems and responsibilities that they may encounter upon entry into the legal profession. Some of the many benefits of membership include subscriptions to the ABA Journal and the Student Lawyer, group health and life insurance programs, ABA-sponsored Memberline MasterCard, discounts on bar review courses, and an opportunity to serve school and bar.

The Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) offers students free membership in the PBA and its Young Lawyers Division (YLD). The YLD provides, on a state level, exposure to the legal opportunities available to students. Some benefits of membership include seminars on practice management and subscriptions to The Pennsylvania Lawyer and The Pennsylvania Bar Association Quarterly. Membership in both the ABA and PBA is open to all students.
