Penn State Dickinson Law and Penn State Law are reunifying to operate as Penn State University’s single law school with two locations in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania: Carlisle and University Park. While ABA approval for the reunification is pending, both schools are currently fully accredited. We submitted an application for acquiescence to operate as a single law school in July 2024 and plan to enroll a unified class in Fall 2025.
In anticipation of ABA approval of the Law Schools’ request to reunify, you may indicate a location preference on your application or, if admitted, prior to payment of your first seat deposit. Through our two locations, Penn State Dickinson Law intends to provide unparalleled access to a legal education and public service to support the citizens of the Commonwealth and beyond. Penn State Dickinson Law’s historic home and primary location in Carlisle allows students easy access to the state capital and provides a charming backdrop for your studies. Penn State Dickinson Law has an additional location in University Park, enabling law students to study at Penn State’s largest campus.
There is no better way to experience our law school community than to visit us in person! Throughout the academic year, we offer guided tours in both Carlisle and University Park led by current J.D. students. We also offer a variety of virtual events and virtual tours. Learn more and register here.
