Penn State Law Accepted Students Travel Reimbursement

To help defray the cost of visiting Penn State Law, the law school will reimburse admitted students up to $300 in travel expenses. If you are planning to attend an Admitted Student Day, the law school will reimburse up to $500 in travel expenses. Qualifying expenses include airfare, mileage, tolls, and hotel fees (room and tax only, up to $150). Travel costs in excess of $300 are the student’s responsibility. Travel reimbursements do not cover meals.

Students must meet with a representative from the Admissions Office during their visit and provide receipts or mileage reports (i.e., a Google Maps printout) to verify the costs for which they are requesting reimbursement. Receipts and reimbursement forms must be submitted within 30 days of the visit date. Late submissions will not be reimbursed. All travel reimbursements must be used by July 31 and cannot be applied towards relocation cost.

Only the room charge, taxes, and fees will be covered by the law school.  The law school will not reimburse for other hotel charges including internet access, phone calls, meals, or other charges to the room.

Once students have submitted their reimbursement forms and receipts, they should allow 3-5 weeks to receive their reimbursement.
