Student Farm at Penn State | Growing engagement with our food system (psu.edu)

The Sustainable Food Systems Program views our own Penn State campus food system as a living laboratory for engagement in sustainable food and agricultural systems. We link classroom education with experiential learning, student-led research, and community outreach.  We grow plants, and so much more… growing student leaders, growing community, and growing food! Core components of the SFSP include a working Dr. Keiko Miwa Ross Student Farm, a highly active Student Farm Club, Community Harvest Project, a Food Systems minor, a partnership with the Lion’s Pantry and course collaborations across Penn State academics and operations. The SFSP is a launching point for conversations about many issues, including food security, food waste, and other pressing issues of our time.

Harvest Fields - Nittany Mountain Biking Association (nittanymba.org)

Established in 2001, Nittany Mountain Biking Association (NMBA) is a volunteer-based organization that is dedicated to building and maintaining sustainable mountain bike trails and promoting responsible mountain biking through club activities and community outreach.  Harvest Fields Community Trails and skills park are the Centre Region's newest and most accessible trails! Purpose-built with ALL users in mind, we encourage riders of all levels to get out there and enjoy our incredible new community cycling resource open to the public.

Centre County Historical Society (centrehistory.org)

Centre County Historical Society is a community and volunteer-based nonprofit educational organization that works collaboratively with local, regional, county, and state organizations in helping preserve and promote the area’s historic, cultural, and natural resources.

Housing Transitions Home - Housing Transitions

Housing Transitions works to provide effective services that promote positive change for those willing to accept the challenges and opportunities necessary to achieve a more independent and self-sufficient lifestyle. Some of their services include an emergency shelter and food bank, case managers to work with families, transitional housing, and education and support surrounding these issues. Housing Transitions needs volunteers to help paint a few indoor rooms in transitional housing.

The Arboretum at Penn State (psu.edu)

The Arboretum at Penn State strives to be a place of beauty and renewal, a venue for the arts, and a pathway to discovery and enrichment. Service at the Arboretum may include gardening and weeding and trail maintenance.
