The mission of the Health Law and Policy Society is to enhance knowledge pertaining to legal, ethical, and political issues relating to health
law. The organization will be an asset in helping Penn State Law students locate jobs, internships, and mentors in the field of health law. Additionally, the organization will serve students interested in intellectual property law, administrative law, torts, constitutional law, state and local government law, and antitrust law as many of these fields overlap with health law. The organization will host guest speakers from various backgrounds, including legal counsel and medical doctors. The organization will discuss specific issues relating to medical device regulations, health care reform, hospital price transparency, and bioethics. Ultimately, the organization will serve as the leading authority on health law issues within the student body.
