Named Scholarship Awards at Penn State Law

NAMED SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS AT PENN STATE LAW
These awards do not have an application process and are typically awarded as a replacement for other unnamed scholarship funds, so do not increase the total scholarship amount the student receives.

Penn State Law Board of Advisors Scholarship Fund
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time law students enrolled or planning to enroll in Penn State Law who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success.

Francis V. and Catherine R. McNamara III Scholarship at Penn State Law
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time law students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Law who wish to pursue careers in public interest law.

Jeffrey H. Toll and Anita H. Toll Graduate Scholarship at Penn State Law
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to incoming first year law students who are enrolled or planning to enroll full-time at Penn State Law who have achieved outstanding academic records or who manifest promise of academic success.  The scholarship shall be awarded for one academic year and shall be renewed for subsequent years providing the recipient continues to meet the conditions of eligibility and funds are available.

Penn State Law Board of Advisors Graduate Matching Scholarship
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time law students enrolled in Penn State Law. The scholarship shall be awarded for one academic year and shall be renewed for subsequent years providing the recipient continues to meet the conditions of eligibility and funds are available.

Penn State Alumni Association Scholarship for Penn State Alumni at Penn State Law
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to law students who are enrolled or planning to enroll full-time at Penn State Law who have achieved outstanding academic records or who manifest promise of academic success and who received their undergraduate degree from Penn State University.

 

ENDOWED GRADUATION AWARDS
The following award does not have an application process.  It is awarded in addition to any other scholarship funds the student is receiving.  If the addition of this award causes an overaward of financial aid, it may force a refund of student loan funds rather than refunding to the student.

Dominic I. Rupprecht Valedictorian Award
Consideration for this award shall be given to law students enrolled in Penn State Law who have achieved the highest overall grade point average at graduation.

 

EQUITY SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
These scholarships were created to provide financial assistance to populations historically under-represented in the practice of law.  The application process for these awards opens late in the fall semester.  These scholarships are stacked on top of any other grant and scholarship awards the student is receiving.

Dickie, McCamey and Chilcote Penn State Law Diversity Scholarship
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to incoming first-year law students who are enrolled or planning to enroll full-time at Penn State Law, whose gender, race, ethnic, cultural, and/or national background contribute to the diversity of the student body.  Applications for this scholarship will be available from the Career Services Office in the fall semester.

George Floyd Memorial Scholarship Fund at Penn State Law
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time second or third-year law students at Penn State Law who are participating in the Black Law Students Association (BLSA).  The application for this scholarship will be available from the Financial Aid Office during the fall semester.

Congressman John Lewis Education Equity Scholarship at Penn State Law
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time law students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Law, whose gender, race, ethnic, cultural, and/or national background contribute to the diversity of the student body and who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary educational expenses.  The application for this scholarship will be available from the Financial Aid Office during the fall semester.

Congresswoman Barbara Jordan Educational Equity Scholarship at Penn State Law
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time law students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Law whose gender, race, ethnic, cultural, and/or national background contribute to the diversity of the student body and who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary educational expenses.  The application for this scholarship will be available from the Financial Aid Office during the fall semester.

Professor Emerita Beth Farmer Educational Equity Scholarship Fund at Penn State Law
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time law students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Law whose gender, race, ethnic, cultural, and/or national background contribute to the diversity of the student body and who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary educational expenses.  The application for this scholarship will be available from the Financial Aid Office during the fall semester.

DLA Piper LLP Diversity Scholarship at Penn State Law

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time law students who are enrolled or who plan to enroll at Penn State Law, who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses, and who contribute to the diversity of the student body.
