Ben Jackson spends summer at the intersection of law and medicinePublic Interest Law Fellow Ben Jackson ’14 spent his summer at Project HEAL (Health Education Advocacy and Law), a program of the Maryland Center for Developmental Disabilities at Kennedy Krieger Institute (KKI). Created in 2005, Project HEAL serves as a bridge among advocates, attorneys, doctors, social workers, educators and health care advocates, enabling them to work together for the benefit of children and adolescents needing both legal and medical assistance.
Interim dean Houck takes over leadership of Law SchoolRetired Vice Adm. James Houck begins his official duties today as interim dean of the Penn State Dickinson School of Law, presiding over both of the Carlisle and University Park campuses. A native of State College, Houck joined Penn State Law in 2012 as a distinguished scholar in residence.
Professor Beth Farmer named editor of ABA antitrust treatiseProfessor Beth Farmer has been appointed to serve as an editor of the American Bar Association's publication State Antitrust Practice and Statutes. While her official appointment begins in September, Professor Farmer said that she has been working on the treatise for the past year.
