The Penn State Law official Facebook page www.facebook.com/PennStateLaw has drawn more than 1,000 students, alumni, friends and fans surpassing all of the other Big Ten law schools since its launch less than a year ago.

“Our Facebook covers a lot of bases—news, events, updates on our alumni. We’ve had everything from alumni requesting lawyer referrals to posts highlighting student accomplishments,” said Crystal Stryker ‘04, a member of the Law School Marketing and Communications team who, among other things, edits the alumni magazine and administers the Facebook page. “It’s been really exciting to see the how the number of users has grown and how much more involved they have become in sharing comments and news.” She added that posting to Facebook is one way to get information out on news and upcoming school events in addition to directly e-mailing the Communications Office.

Penn State Law has fans from Canada, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Egypt, India, Brazil and the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and the Dominican Republic with the largest number of fans being between the ages of 25 and 34. In the United States more fans come from Pennsylvania but New York and Washington, D.C. are next in line.

Penn State Law recently launched a Twitter feed. Users can follow Penn State Law on Twitter @PennStateLaw.
