Judge Jennifer Harlacher Sibum to be honored at NE Alumni Dinner


The Northeast Pennsylvania Alumni Chapter of The Dickinson School of Law recognized the Honorable Jennifer Harlacher Sibum during its annual dinner at the Woodlands Inn and Resort in Wilkes-Barre on May 26.
 
A 1993 graduate of The Dickinson School of Law, Sibum was elected judge of the Monroe County Court of Common Pleas on November 3, 2009, after winning both the Republican and Democratic nominations in the May 2009 primary election.
 
Prior to her election, Sibum was a solo practitioner with a concentration in family law, civil litigation, landlord/tenant, collection, educational law, real estate, criminal law, zoning, and municipal law.
 
Sibum served as a solicitor in domestic relations and as a conflict counsel. She was a standing guardian appointed to represent the interests of children who were removed from their home and/or the custody of their parents due to abuse and neglect.
 
Earlier in her career, Sibum served as a law clerk to the Honorable Ronald E. Vican and as an associate at the Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, law firm of Newman, Williams, Mishkin, Corveleyn, Wolfe & Fareri, P.C. 

She has been an active member of the Monroe County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association, United Way, and the American Cancer Society. She and her husband, Wayne T. Sibum, reside in East Stroudsburg.
