Before COVID-19 struck, we were at a moment of immense social change, in which technology, globalization and the need for cross-cutting knowledge were foundationally changing the practice of law. Our public health crisis – with its accompanying remote instruction and legal practice – has accelerated the pace of change. This crisis gives us an opportunity to learn, and to reimagine legal education in needed ways.
Hari Osofsky, dean of Penn State Law and the School of International Affairs, will focus this webinar on those learning opportunities, drawing from the experiences of the past three years as dean. It will explore some of the opportunities to develop legal education for a changing society through technology, innovation, and interdisciplinary partnerships, and consider how the COVID-19 experiences might influence our pathways moving forward.
