The Penn State Institute of Arbitration Law and Practice promotes and encourages the development of arbitration law and practice through its activities and those of its faculty members including:   

Faculty
Our distinguished faculty features internationally recognized experts in the fields of international commercial arbitration, domestic, and comparative arbitration as well as experts in trade law, international finance, international commercial law, banking, energy, and sales.

Penn State International Arbitration Group
This student run organization coordinates many of the arbitration events at Penn State Law. Each year the PSIAG welcomes numerous arbitration practitioners as part of their Speaker Series and sponsors both the Penn State Law Pre-Moot and Penn State Law International Arbitration Day.  

Vis Moot
Called the “Olympics of International Commercial Law” the Willem C. Vis Moot Court Team offers an opportunity for Penn State Law students to compete in the largest arbitration competition in the world, hosted annually in Vienna Austria.

Arbitration Law Review
The Arbitration Law Review is a student-edited publication which covers developments in arbitration and mediation. The Yearbook also hosts an annual symposium on current issues in arbitration.

Courses
Penn State Law’s diverse courses in international commercial arbitration, international litigation, U.S. arbitration, international corporate law, and many other subjects such as energy and commercial transactions where arbitration plays a key role in dispute resolution. 

LL.M. Students
Penn State Law offers numerous opportunities for LLM students interested in arbitration. From diverse classes taught by a world class faculty, to engaging speakers, to the Yearbook on Arbitration and several moot court opportunities; Penn State Law offers all students the chance to immerse themselves in the world of arbitration.
